Returns & Exchanges
At Retro Gatsby, we want you to absolutely adore your 1920s-inspired finds. Every item is carefully inspected before leaving our warehouse to ensure flawless quality and the correct size according to our size chart.
We kindly ask all customers to review our Returns & Exchanges policy before placing an order. Here’s everything you need to know:
Returns
- Timeframe: Please contact us within 72 hours of receiving your order if you wish to return an item. Returns must be sent back within 21 days of delivery.
- Condition: Items must be returned in the same condition they arrived — unworn (except for trying on), unwashed, and free of any marks or damage.
- Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, refunds are processed within 2–4 business days.
- Shipping Costs: If we’ve sent the wrong item, wrong size, or a faulty product, we cover the return shipping. For other reasons, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
- Admin Fee: A $13 admin fee per returned dress applies to cover handling, shipping, and processing costs. This applies for returns not caused by us, such as a change of mind.
- Multiple Items: Please avoid ordering multiple items with the intention to return some. Items returned under such circumstances will be credited as store credit rather than refunded.
- How to Return: Contact us via email or phone and we’ll guide you on where to send your return. Once received and inspected, we’ll notify you of your refund.
Exchanges
- Timeframe: Contact us within 72 hours of delivery and return items within 14 days.
- Condition: Items must be returned in their original condition — unworn (except for trying on), unwashed, and free from marks or damage.
- Process: Place your new order, then contact us to return the original item. Once received and checked, we’ll confirm your exchange.
- Shipping Costs: If the wrong item or a faulty product was sent, we cover shipping. Otherwise, the customer is responsible.
- No Extra Fees: There are no additional fees for exchanges.
Items We Cannot Accept
For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for:
- Gloves
- Headbands
- Feather Boas
- Any other personal items
Delivery & Responsibility
We use trusted carriers (USPS, Australia Post, NZ Post, Canada Post) for all deliveries. Once an item is successfully delivered to the shipping address provided, it becomes the buyer’s property. We cannot issue refunds for items reported lost after successful delivery. Please ensure your shipping address is secure.
